Tonight for dinner, we had braised pork shoulder with wild rice and broccoli. DELICIOUS! And the best part, it's super easy!
To start out, give the pork shoulder steaks a good rub. Like a deep tissue massage for the pork. I used a mixture of paprika, cumin, salt and pepper.
Then pour a little bit of olive oil in a cast iron skillet and get it hot. Sear each side of the meat.
Next, add in an onion and a couple of cloves of garlic. Then pour some stock over the whole thing.
Bake, covered, in a 300 degree oven for an hour and half to two hours. The meat should be tender, but not stringy.
Now, I couldn't let all that gorgeous gravy go to waste, so I made wild rice in it!
